So am really baffled here.
Wife took car to get oil changed last week (Natl Tire Battery). Included in the service was a tire rotation. Afterwards they gave her a list of stuff that needed to be done (pads, rotors, etc).
I told her i would do pads and rotors. Started today.
Car has parking brake engaged. Front left jacked up and supported. Lug nuts removed. Tire is a good inch or two off the ground. And i cant remove it. Period. I have kicked it. Hit it with a rubber mallet. Tugged on it. Everything. Its not even getting looser.
Am i missing something besides the lug nuts required to unlock this tire? I am guessing its rust that is holding it....but if they really rotated the tires this wouldnt be the case would it.
The tire will only turn about an 1/8 of a turn either way right now.

Suggestions greatly appreciated. Its a 02 camry.

You didn't indicate whether you had steel or aluminum wheels but either way you might give this a try. Put the lugnuts back on but not completely tight, then lower the car and turn the steering wheel back and forth a few times. If this doesn't work then under the same conditions try move the car slowly with the wheels turned stepping on the brake periodicallv. Just a turn or two loose on the lugs should be adequate. Do not drive it this way on the street. Normally this motion and action will break the wheel loose from the center hub.
