Im a second owner of an 04, 2 wheel drive with 91k miles. I don't know if this is the first brake job for the vehicle or not. I cant find any info on OE pad material Should I use semi-metallic or ceramic. What came standard on the vehicle. Thanks for you help

Rockauto said OE ceramic but I don't really know, plus there was a recall so there may be two types. I went with ceramics and see no difference from OEM. As for friction, that's a grade stamped on the pad (EE and FF?) that were the same on my replacements as the originals.

It well could be the first job, I did mine at a little over 70,000 because it's fall and I didn't want to do it in the cold. But, they probably could have made it another year.

I would recomend ceramic. I have semi-metalics cause that was all that was avaliable at 8 pm on Sunday when i needed to do the job. The brake dust is bad especialy on my summer alloys.
