Just posting this to get a consensus of the value added of using a parametric EQ. I found a Lanzar VIBE540P in dash 5 band parametric EQ for $46 + shipping and was toying with the idea of checking it out.

They are typically not of much value unless they are of extremely high quality - they tend to lower your overall S/N ratio, and are more susceptable to electrical system noise. I would probably not buy it, but then again $50 you can try it and if it sucks - take it out.
