After reading almost all the possible ways to lift our trucks i finally picked the setup i wanted and installed it.:) I chose to lift it using the bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks up front and in the back. I put the front on the max setting which is close to 2.5 inches of lift and installed the back as well. After reading all the potential problems with the cv joints i installed the toytech 1 inch diff drop spacer kit and also performed the cv boot mod with some hose clamps. Originally i had thought to get an AAL package or blocks for the back but i dont think i need to do that because the look i have right now is perfect. The front is almost perfectly leveled out and measures just under 37" from the wheel well to the ground on both sides. In the back it is just over 37" on both sides so it looks good. The stance is much more aggressive and appealing to me. I chose to lift this way mainly from the money standpoint( i cant afford much being a senior in high school) and to keep the same tires on the truck now because they only have about 8k on them. The ride is surprisingly similar to stock but it is a little stiffer and much much more comfortable. :D

I did all of the installations in my driveway with some help with my dad and a neighbor. It took the better part of a day to install everything due to some tricky obstacles. The learning curve from one side and then to the next is remarkable :tu: I rented a spring compressor from auto zone and had all the other basic tools needed to lift it. Below are pictures of before and after! Hope you all enjoy and feel free to ask any questions.

I am getting it alligned either tomorrow or sometime this week.. anyone know the specs i should tell the guys what to set the camber and toe to for 2.5" in lift the front??

Looks great! I had that setup and I really liked it and so should you! Your truck looks much better and with some bigger meats on there it will really shine!!

Thanks man! I'm really loving everything about it so far!! Did you have any problems with stressed out ball joints or UCA running this? Or in other words, is there anything to be worried about?

You should'nt have any problems. You took the time to invest in the diff drop and hose clamps, so your good. I installed camburg UCA's when I put my 5100's on, so I can't say anything about the stock ones running that setup. I can say I ran a 3" spacer for years with stock UCA's and it worked, not well, but it got me down the road, 5100's are much better!

Cool that's what I thought. Hopefully I can get some new UCAs this summer as a graduation gift with new tires :)
