Guys,
I have an amazing opportunity to buy 4 new BFG All-terrain's that are 315/70/17 for $200 each. Right now I have a 2007 Tundra with Bilstein 5100's on the front. I currently have stock 18 inch rims with 285's.

My question is given my front leveling kit and if I get 17 inch rims, can I run the 315's without having any rubbing issues?

If they do rub...is it severe or can I trim the skid plate, etc?

FYI - I've also searched through the forum and read a lot of posts on this already. I'd like to get some suggestions on my specific situation.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Steve

You would need the RW wheels for sure (probably the only 17's you will find to fit). I don't think that the 2.5" from the 5100's will give you enough to clear, what a 35" tire. The 285/70/17's on my RW are just shy of 33" and with the 5100's I think I i could clear the 305/70/17 with some trimming.

Good buy on the tires though, smoking price.

Yeah I'm searching now to see if I can find 17 inch rims that I actually like, the availability vs the 18's+ are slim. What does RW stand for by the way?

The 315's are 34.4 inches. Originally I was going to upgrade to the 305's but if the 315's have a possibility of fitting I cannot pass this up.

That's what I thought I didn't want to assume anything. I Like the rock warrior wheels but they are only 8 inches wide. The 315's are over 12 inches wide.... I think I'd rather have at least a 9 inch wide rim.

Thanks for the reply
