I just purchased at 2006 Tundra SR5 crew cab with 4.7 eng. and towing package and TRD off road package. Is there pre wiring in place for trailer brakes? This my first Toyota truck and it is beyond fantastic.

The tow package equipped Tundra comes with a pigtail wire harness for the trailer hitch which includes brake and signal connections.

The wire harness is shipped in the glove box, if it has the tow package. If the last owner didn't tow it many not be there. The dealer can get you one or you can order on online. The plug for the wire harness is near the fuse box under the dash.

i have an extra harness, just bought a 2011 Tundra and it came with one but so did my new brake controller. let me know if you want it and where to send it.
