Seems some people are quick to post over simple mistakes or miscommunications. So, for a change,,,,,,
Placed an order for a set of shocks from Shock Warehouse. They honored the TundraSolutions discount, were at my door in a week, and were exactly what I ordered. No hassle. No fuss.
Good job :ts:

Thanks for the kind words! It sometimes gets frustrating for us when we dedicate a lot of time and money to forums and seem to only get negativity in response, so it's really nice to be appreciated. Let us know how the shocks work out for you.

My Bilstein order (5100s all around) will be here tomorrow. Thanks SW!

I have bought shocks from them 3 times in the past few years. The only issue I ran across was the 5100's for my 3/4 ton were back ordered and it took 2 months to get them. Even with the manufacturers delay I would still do business with them again. They provide good prices, good customer service, so why go elsewhere?

Just got my 5100s delivered this morning from Shock Warehouse. Although I'm happy to finally have them, the two week delay between ordering and the actual shipping was a bit longer than I expected. No big deal as I was out of the state, but for those who are on some sort of schedule, just be aware (at least it wasn't two months like some other TSers had to deal with!!). If I had my truck stuck in a shop waiting for these, I'd be more than a little irked.
SW seems to operate on an 'almost-just-in-time inventory' system so they may or may not have what you ordered physically in their stock. At least they abide by the online ordering precept of not charging the credit card until the order ships.
Secondly, one of the 6929 front shocks was missing the two rubber bushings. I called SW and was simply given a tech support telephone number for Bilstein in San Diego.
Shockguys, you need to eyeball each and every order that leaves your warehouse! It's just prudent business.
Again, not a huge deal, but it just leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Wouldn't you want to be known for getting the job done right the first time??
As the TS regulars know, I've been touting SW as the go-to vendor for some time on this forum, but, anecdotally, missing parts isn't an isolated incident. They have dropped a few notches in my book.
If you just want the lowest price -- and don't mind being in the dark as to when they will actually get to you and/or the uncertainty of getting your order fulfilled with a complete part list -- then SW is your vendor. If not, then you might want to pay a little more and buy from a local shop where you can have a face-to-face if any problems arise and any parts issues are dealt with by the shop -- not you.
Would I buy from SW again?
Maybe.
In this economy, pricing talks.

* * * UPDATE * * *
As I posted above, my order from SW was missing the rubber bushings for the 6929s and I had to call Bilstein in San Diego directly to get replacement. That phone call took place on the late afternoon of 3/15 and I just rec'd the bushings this morning, 3/18. About 40 hours from phone call to door knock!
Excellent customer service Bilstein!
