Hey All,

I've been in the car modding industry for a long time. But its always been lowering or Slamming my cars. This is my first truck so I am looking for some advice from some of you on here. I am the type that likes to do things right the first time around. I rather not spend extra money to fix a stupid mistake for going cheap in the first place.

I've read allot on here in regarding to lift spacers. Lets just say NOT something I want to do to my truck. Here's what I am looking to do and what I will be using the truck for so you guys can get an ideal of whats best.

2005 Tundra Double Cab 2x4 -
I am looking for about a 2.5" to 3" Lift up front.
Reason is that I plan on putting on some Pro Comp 18"x9" wheels with a 0 offset or -6 offset - This will depending on which wheel I get (I have 2 in mind) also plan on using 33x12*5 tires. Probably Toyo Open Country.

I've read allot about the Bilsteins 5100, but I've also read up on the coilovers available. I don't want to break the bank so I've looked at either the Sway A Sway front set-up or the Camburg set-up. Which one is good?? I know Camburg doesn't make rear shocks and the sway away does, but its a pretty penny for them.

I've also read some UCA will do good since the stock UCA ball joints aren't made for this kind of lift.

I also want to lift the Back about 1" to 1.5" - unsure what you guys recommend. I've read about AAL kits and also blocks. Also what shocks should I use??

My car is Daily Driven and is my primary car. I would do some lite towing (not allot) maybe tow my friends 22' fishing boat once or twice a year. I am looking to also stiff up the suspension up a bit to get less body roll and a better ride.

Also if I do the rear Lift can I still use the Hellswig Rear sway bar??
Any recommendation you guess make will be awesome. I just want to do it right the first time and not having to spend extra money to fix things later down the line that should have been done in the first place.

Thanks
Kenny

I have not lifted my truck yet and I am leaning towards the Bilsteins 5100s.

There are many resources in this forum. May I suggest using the "Search" button towards the mid top portion of this forum.

Good Luck.

Thanks Hippo - There's def. allot of information on this site. I've used the search feature (first thing I did) and read up on allot of diff set-ups. I just wanted to see what POS or NEG each that experienced it.

I also just found out they also have the 5100 Coilovers. I didn't find allot of information on them but for those who have used it how do you like it??

If you are looking to doing coilovers and UCAs. We have a good package deal on ICON Coilovers w/Camburg or Total Chaos UCAs, and the package gets free shipping as well.
I would recommend setting the front at 2.5" of lift, and then matching it out back with our 3 leaf AAl set, and either a set of ICON or Bilstein 5100s depending on budget.
