I have had my eye on some TRD Darrell Waltrip rims (18x9, 8 spoke, w/ 10mm offset, PTR17-34060) for my 2002 SR-5 AC, and found a dealer with a good price and in stock.

The "recommended" tire size is 275/55 ... but I wanted to put some Michelin
LTX M/S 2's on, which limits my choices to a 275/65, or 265 in 60, 65 or 70 series.

My question is -

Anyone with these wheels running the LTX's and if so in what size - and are you getting any rubbing issues ??

I am also installing some Donohoe front coilovers and Deaver race springs on the rear to lift the truck a bit - hoping that helps eliminate potential for rub.

Thanks, as always !

IIRC, the 275-65-18 LTXs are an E rated tire. I was concerned that they'd ride a little stiff, so I went with Bridgestone Duelers (a C rated tire) in the size you are considering. Lifted 2.5 inches in the front, 1.5 inches out back - the look just right. I think I may have been able to squeeze 285-65-18's on there w/out any rubbing, but I didn't want to take the chance.

I believe that Michelin LTX MS2 is offered (in the 275/65 in both the light truck rating and the regular passenger rating. I agree that the LT might be too harsh a ride, but
thought the E was pretty smooth. (but maybe not compared to a C rating)

Anyone else using these rims, lifted the truck a bit and are have the Michelin LTX in 275/65 without rubbing issues ?

Thanks !

I know this doesnt help but when I bought my Tundra it came with brand new BBS-RW wheels (TRD Waltrip wheels) and the dealer installed 255/70/18 Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires?
