Brandon, you had mentioned a Collinite Wax product that would last and last and last, but I can't find my notes. Can you refresh my memory, was it he #476?

And this was something you recommended putting on after the Duragloss, #105, correct?

Thanks...

Not to step on Brandon's toes, but are you refering to Collinites #845 ? Its a long lasting carnuba.

No problem, that might have been it. Which is better, the 845 or 476?

Both will work just fine, just paste vs liquid. Use it after the Duragloss #105. It should add some good durability.

Thanks, I'll use the 845 then with my PC. This is the one you recommend only setting up for about 15 minutes, otherwise it is hard to get off, correct?

You wont need the PC to apply 845. Just use a soft MF applicator. I've found it spreads easier if you dampen the applicator pad. Allow only a short period for flashing, otherwise its a bear to remove.

What would be a good time frame for the flashing, to then remove?

Depends on your weather conditions. Temperature, humidity or lack there of. In Florida I let it sit about 5 minutes then start removing it. Anything over that and it starts to get stubborn and leave behind streaks and ghosting.

Keep an eye on it. When you can remove it with your finger, it is ready. Its a great wax and looks fantastic, but it's removal difficulties are one of the reasons I dont use it much anymore.

That being said, is there something else you would recommend? I don't mind the extra elbow grease if that is going to stand up the best against our harsh, salty, winters, but if there is something equal or better that requires left effort, I'm all for that as well.:laughing3d:

I really like to use Klasse AIO as a base coat, then top it with a layer or two of Zaino Z-2/Z-5. Or just put down a base coat of Klasse AIO, then apply the Collonites over that. The AIO will make it much easier to remove, and provide a nice smooth foundation for the 845. That combo will look nice and deep, and should last quite a while.
