One poster on another forum indicated this was a $2000+ repair. Not sure if Toyota is going to eat this one.

I just changed my wifes 08 avalon left high and low beam. She had the 9011 high beam and the d4r high intensity discharge low beams. On the left hand side u have to remove the battery and unbolt the fusebox to get to the bulbs. The high beam was shattered and the low beam wasn't but I got them both at carquest for $145 total.
