I've got a 2010 CM with the tie down deck rails installed. Bought the FAC G4 (model TT6324) since it said "no drilling required". However, the instructions start off with lining up the wind rails and then screwing them into the top of the bed rail. I have looked at the latch/clamps and they do not appear long enough to get over the bed and grab the wind rail. What am I missing?

Just installed my G4 last weekend on my 2008 Double Cab. What a PITA. The instrctions were very ambiguos at points. There are templates for the stake bed pocket covers, but it never acyually tells you to drill the holes in them? Several other points that could be made much clearer. I finally figured it all out and am very pleased with the cover. The only holes I had to drill were in the those 4 little plastic stake bed pocket covers and that is just so the screws can pass through where those bed rails attach to the truck.

DO NOT BUY FOLD-A-COVER FROM STEFFENS AUTOMOTIVE! You will never be able to remove it and reinstall it because of an obvious flaw that they know about, but refuse to correct. All the mounting hardware is custom machined aluminum, and all the fasteners are stainless, creating a dissimilar metal reaction that oxidizes the fasteners into the hardware causing the 1/4" Stainless bolts to break off if you try to remove them. Not only that, but they sell replacement hardware kits with about $20 worth of materials for $100 plus $12 shipping! So a couple years after paying over $800 for a Fold-a cover, if you need to remove or adjust your cover in any way, you will be forced to pay $112 for a new hardware kit made out of the same faulty materials.
