We have an 07 camry that is very difficut to fuel up. You have to trickle the gas in at about a very slow rate or the nozzle will shut off. You can hear the gas backing up the filler tube when you are fueling to quickly. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to fill that tank. Dealer said we need a new charcoal canister and quoted almost $1000 to replace. What are these like to change out? The service manual says drop the tank first. Looks like quite a job. Has anybody tried replacing on of these?

You can replace the charcoal canister without removing the gas tank, but you have to lower/remove the rear suspension member to get to the canister.
