: Avoid Raceline Wheels - they're customer service sucks!

Been trying to get a set of 981 Raceline Raptors for my 2011 Sequoia now since early March of this year. According to Raceline, the wheel would be available by mid-March. While investigating the wheel, I contacted Raceline for any specifications regarding the size of wheel I wanted and they couldn't give me any details about it and maybe I should look for another wheel. Not exactly a good salesman, I eventually decided to order the wheels anyway as I hadn't found anything I liked that came even remotely close to the Raceline Raptors.

Several weeks went by with no wheels. Had my tire guy contact the distributor and was told they were on their way. Couple of weeks later, still no wheels. Dealership contacted Raceline and was told four to six weeks until they arrived. I too contact Raceline and was told the same story. They rep I talked too was very polite and apologetic. Fine I thought, I'll wait a little longer.

Now, nearly at the end of May, I asked the dealership to contact Raceline again. I also sent them an email. Neither of us received a response after a week. I finally decided to call them directly and was told quite rudely by the rep "How the hell would I know when they are supposed to arrive." I was quite taken aback since I had not expected such a response. I politely told him I had been waiting since March and mentioned the four to six week delay following that and all I wanted was an update as to when he might expect them. He said "So, I guess you'll just have to wait. I don't know when they'll be in and I don't really care."

Pissed now I told him his attitude was unacceptable and would not spend my hard-earned money on their product with that kind of customer service. He then informed me I had better go somewhere else. I told him I would gladly do so.

What really gets me is one, their attitude and lack of desire to inform and sell their product. No mention is made on their Web site that the wheel is not available. Secondly, I have been using my Sequoia sparingly, trying to put as little miles on it as possible given that the tires presently on it are Blizzak winter tires that will not stand up to dry pavement use.

I can't see giving money to a company that doesn't give damn about their customers and could care less about selling their product – a product that they themselves know nothing about. In today's tough economy you'd think they would be hellbent on working to achieve as large and loyal customer base as possible. Must be nice to have so much money as to piss off potential customers. All I know is they'll never see a dime of mine.
