...I may completely out of my mind... But every site I've looked at, AND the owners manual indicate the front corner lights take a 3157A bulb.

I bought a set of Autolumination 3157A replacements for the front... showed up, looked good, pulled the corner light off, pulled the bulb out. ...they are TOTALLY different. Bulb in my aftermarket clear corner is round with offset contacts. Looked at the stock lens... round with offset contacts. Looked at the 3157 for the turn signal in the tail light, it's flat, looks just like the Autolumination bulbs. Went down to Checkers, said, "I need front corner bulbs for a 2003 Tundra." "Oh that's a 3157A. Went over, grabbed a pair of silverstar 3157's, flat.

wtf?!?!

Has anybody else encountered this? What is the actual bulb type in the corner light and can you change out the socket on the harness to accomodate a 3157?

So I just talked to Stevenson Toyota here in Denver. They show it to be an 1157, which now that I look at a diagram, that is indeed what is in there.

Initial question remains, has anybody ever changed out the harness to accomodate a 3157 in the corner housing?

I had a broken rear lens and replaced with aftermarket. It came with new wire harness as well. I did not want to bother changing the harness but the bulb was not compatable on oem so I changed the harness. Only took a few minutes to unplug connector and clip at the body. Not sure about front, but I dont think it would be much different to swap the harness.
