about to pull the trigger on a certified pre-owned 2008 Sequoia Limited. 46K miles, sandy beach metallic. Has Nav, DVD entertainment, tow package. Price in my area (north of NYC) seems to be in a big range and with the price of gas now, it's gotta be a harder sell right now. I'm trading in my wife's Acura MDX (can't wait to get rid of it - not a fan of that car) and selling my 2006 Ford F150 - figure the Sequoia replaces both and we'll get an economical second car.
Would love people's opinion of the value of this truck in today's market. I think given the trade, it's being priced around $36K - $38K

Offer them the same amount they would give you if you were trading it in.

Seems high. That is what I paid for my SR5 new in 08 and I have the JBL, Bluetooth, Towing package, rear-view camera and some other stuff. I know the limited Sequoia costs more, but when I was looking, they were in the 45-58 range. Maybe the 58K one that was spec'd out like a platinum might be that much now, but I would think that the 45K one should have dropped more by now. Of course, Sequoia's do seem to be holding their value quite well despite the price of gas.

Actually, 36k seems about in line with what I've seen in CT.

That seems about right. Today I bought an 08 Platinum 4x4 with 61k on it for $35000. With all my research, most of the Limiteds with Nav/DVD and 20" wheels were bringing that kind of money.

i got an 08 sr5 certified pre-own for 28,300 with 45k on it. it came with a sunroof and leather. i put my own dvd, tv, gps, backup camera, hid in it for about another $1000. the trick is to find one at your local dealer and watch it sit there. originally they were asking 33,500 for it.
