while home on leave, i took a bit of time to de-stock my double cab. i bought the wheels online, and purchased the tires from my local discount tire. the wheels are moto metal 961's, and the tires are 295/70/18 nitto trail grapplers. i put on a 3" ready lift and am totally pleased with the results! sorry for the shadowy pics, i took the with my iphone in my front yard. after being in the desert for so long, i was enjoying the shade from my trees!
i have a bit of rubbing on the front inner fender, but it doesnt bother me, a bit of trimming and it'll be fine. the trail grapplers look awesome, and after installing them, i went on a 3000 mile trip and was very happy with the way the rode, handled, and even the noise was fine. they are not as quiet as a road tire, but for an m/t, they were very tame! i got many compliments on the tires on my trip, i'm glad i went with the trails instead of the terra grapplers.
unfortunately, i'm back in afganistan, so it'll be another 5 months before i get to drive my truck again. oh well, gotta pay the bills somehow!!
