Within the last month my 2003 Tundra starter did not respond three times on the first ignition key click ,but starter responded on the second try each time
I assume that it is the starter.
I put a new battery in during the winter.

How do I determine if the problem is with just the selenoid or the starter.

I want to use Toyota parts,but I called a parts house for a price and they only sell a starter complete.
I have pulled starters in my younger motor head days.
Is this taking on too much?
