what are my options at this point?

I just read through some posts both pro/con spacers - some say they are unsafe, others have run them for years without any issues.

Maybe I should just put smaller tires on? Would 275/75/16's rub?

I just bought this Tundra and love it, but I am NOT loving the rubbing that happens when I need to turn anywhere close to sharp!

I am new to the truck world... here are photos of the UCA's

Spacers are your best option. I've had them for 5 years. 1.5-inch should be adequate.

You actually have a few options!
1)wheels 16x8 with 4-1/2 inch backspace!
2)hub centric wheel Spacers by spider trax
Part number whs007! I would also run an
Open ended et style lug nut to mount the
wheel Spacers! They are gorilla lug nuts not
sure the part number! I have ran wheel Spacers
On my 1st gen for 7 years with the et style
Lug nut and have had 0 problems!
And yes I have hammered the truck offroad
With them on!!

I installed spidertrax hubcentric/wheelcentric spacers back in 07 on my 02. They got moved to my 05 a year later when I bought that and to this day, are still installed on it and the truck (a friend owns it) has never had a problem. I see no problems with the spacers.

On my 00, I bought 285s, they rubbed like yours so I returned them and went to 32" tires instead. Looking back, it was a night and day difference in appearance. The 285s look huge compared to 275s.
