It's hard to find... But Sorry corn farmers out there, but the Tundra seems to run *much* better on 90 octane non-ethanol gas. Anyone else log any mileage numbers? My instant readout is much higher as I drive on this first tank of the pure stuff! I'll cross post to the gas mileage thread and also follow up when I have results at the end of this tank.

Non-ethanol fuel is difficult to find but based solely upon the embodied energy content you should see an increase in fuel mileage. I have not tested this as there are no stations close to where I regularly drive that sell it.

there's a station about 45miles from me that sells non-ethanol gas, but the price has gone up significantly since the last time I filled up with them. About a month ago, the prices were $3.50/gal regular, $3.85/gal supreme, $4.75/gal regular (non-ethanol).

I filled up 20 gallons of the non-ethanol from there last year when it was still under $4 bucks. I didn't have any drastic mpg increase. Toby has 3yrs of my gas logs, I think that fillup is recorded there... maybe Feb or Oct 2010? Even if it did make a difference, I'd never pay $1/gal more for it. The service station attendant said "folks 'round here use it in their tractors and such." Yes, it was a po-dunk town.

I have tried 93 / 87 / 83 octanes (non-ethanol) at a gas station close to me. I found NO difference between the octanes, but there is a difference between the non-ethanol and the ethanol blends. It was significantly better...

Check out pure-gas.org. I have it saved as a bookmark on my phone. I will never use ethanol gas...

Pure-gas.org works really well. I found this station in Jackson, MS this week. The site directed me to another station in Decatur, AL on the way home.
