I stopped into a local sound shop and they happened to be clearancing a ton of stuff so I picked up a pioneer TS-SW3001S4 12 inch sub for 60$ and an Alpine MRP-M500 for 99$. They also sold me a sweet 4G amp kit and RCAs for 20. I am sticking with the stock HU for now but I ran the RCA so that when I did get the new unit it would be a plug and play install. Running the wires was easy through the sills, the hardest part of the whole thing was removing the d$%# back seat. I stuck the amp to the back wall sound dampener with a sheet of industrial velcro which works quite well but it is temporary. The first box I made was the exact size requirement of .65 but it was too close to the seat and I didnt like the idea of the sub hitting the wires in the seat. The second box in the pic is .59 so I stuffed it and the sound is still amazing. The sub is now about 1/2inch from the seat. This was my first time installing or building a box so I took my time and did a good bit of reading. This setup is all the bass I will ever need and then some the sound quality and crisp bass is awesome for any Jam, hip hop, classic rock, blue grass, or whatever!

Nice setup. I ran a 2501? (10") for a while and it was a great sounding budget shallow sub.
