So I'm chasing down vibrations and haven't been able to find the answer to a question. Does anyone know what the allowable play at the end of the output shaft on the transmission is? I had the drive shaft out and reached up and grabbed the splined shaft and noticed that it moved. It moves approximately 1/16" from the centerline in any direction (this is just eyeballing it, no measuring with tools). Just looking for what the specs say the allowable movement is.

I have an '05 Tundra DC, 2wd, A750E transmission.

I was reading through the troubleshooting section in the manual for the propeller shaft and the first thing it says to check for vibration is the transmission extension housing rear bushing. Has anyone ever replaced one of these? Or have a reference for a manual for doing the repair?
