Hello Im fairly new to the forum. I am looking to upgrade my factory 6 disc non-jbl factory h/u. Sonicelectronix has the kenwood and son for $299. Bluetooth and iPhone 4s integration are a must. I have read the kenwood has horrible bluetooth and doesn't work well with the 4s. The sony on the other hand is getting decent reviews. My experience with sony in the past wasnt to good...maybe they are better now. Which unit would you guys recommend? By the way I traded my corvette for a 2010 CM sr5 trd and love it... :laughing3d:

Decided to purchase a refurb kenwood ddx616 from crutchfield. Got it fairly cheap. One more question....where are you guys placing the bluetooth mic?

I put my BT mic in the factory location. Pull the center overhead down, take out the factory mic and slide the new one in place. I ran the wire up the driver side A pillar. My BT worked very well (Kenwood 8120) with my old iPhone 3G, but a few weeks ago I bought the iPhone 4S and now the BT is barely audible. People were telling me it sounded like crap, so I left myself a message at the house one day from the truck and I could barely make it out. Pretty disappointed because I was getting to love not having to hold the phone anymore.

Installed the unit yesterday and must say it is a very nice unit. Following all the helpful info from you guys made the install simple and straight forward. I placed the bluetooth mic on the steering column ....seems to work well there. Has anyone changed the boot logo on their kenwood h/u? If so how did you do it?
