Jumbo Jet

I do this car every year for a good friend, and I always seem to forget just how big this car is. It was a nice day out so I thought I'd take some pics for you guys.
The car is an 02 (I believe) Lexus LS430, around 90k miles. I started pretty early, around 7am, so lighting wasnt very good for before pictures.

First things first. Engine compartment and underside of hood get a thorough cleaning. A good spray down with P21S Total Auto Wash, diluted about 5:1.

A good scrubbing with my engine brush, a light rinse and blown dry with the blower, looks as good as new.

Next is a standard wash and clay. Since I do the car often, claying wasnt too bad. Car was blown dry with the blower, then ready for polish. First I decided to tackle the oxidized headlights. They were starting to look a little faded.

For the headlights I used Einszettes 50/50 mix of UPP/PP with a small orange pad with the PC on 5.5 . Followed up by Klasse AIO with a small white pad and PC on 4.

Next the entire car was polished with Einszettes PP with an orange pad and PC on 5. This was followed with Zaino AIO with a white pad and PC on 4. My detailing journal said I used Zaino Z-2 the last time I did this car, so I decided to go with Z-5 this time around. Car came out nice, and had a nice wet look to it.

I really wish I had taken some before and after pics of the interior, the light tan leather was pretty dirty and it came out nice and clean. Unfortunately the only picture of the interior I took was the trunk.
