Hi I just brought a 02 sequoia limited with factory JBL system however the CD changer is broken.
I also brought a ebay 7" in dash navi and metra harness (the $15 one with 4 RCA) for installation. well after i connected all of wires, there is no sound. I turned up max of volume, now i hear very very tiny sound. I am suspecting the HU does not have enough output to push the JBL amp?
than i came across AXXESS Tyto01 which allow you to boost the signal but it said it is for 03-05 only. Does anyone has same issue? does anyone know if the tyto01 would fit a 02 limited?

Did you connect the antenna power on wire and the amp power on wire together and then to the blue harness wire?

Yes, but I didn't test why. I got the wiring from Crutchfield. I saw on the web also that someone was having trouble until they did this. If you don't connect them together either the antenna won't go up or go down properly or the amp won't turn off. I did it and everything worked perfectly so I didn't monkey with it.

Matt is correct.
You need to connect the power antenna, blue wire with white stripe (usually), and the amp power, blue wire (usually), to the power antenna and amp power wires otherwise the jbl amp won't power on and no sound will go from the head unit to the speakers. The stock JBL amp is just like any other aftermarket amp, it has to have power to work.
