I have an 06 DC i am currently at stock and have decided to come up just a little bit.

Is there any negative aspect of using a lift kit? or a type of lift kit?
I would like to lift the right way and need good advice.

I am currently running stock 18" with 265/65/r18's and it rides great, except a little rubbing on harder turns.
i am planning on going to 20's with a little bigger tire after i lift, is anything else needed like a space? and what type?

last thing, I am doing my brakes this weekend and replacing pads, rotors, and putting on SS lines. do i need to do anything different for the lift.

THanks

How much lift are you planning to achieve? 2.5",4.5", 5", 6", etc? The only real negative aspect of lifts is the lower fuel economy. Other than that, a lift is perfectly safe as long as it's not a cheap eBay kit.

Here's some lifts that may help get the wheels in your head turning to decide how high you want to go. :)

Bilstein 5100 Front Shocks (Link (http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/suspension.jsp?model=5100+Series+Adj+Shock&make=Bilstein)): 2.5" Max lift, but stiff ride when maxed out at 2.5". Can also accomodate 33" tires.

Daystar 2.5" Leveling Kit (Link (http://daystarweb.com/productdetail.php?productID=535)): 2.5" lift, uses spacers to lift the truck in the front and uses an AAL (add-a-leaf) in the rear to even the back out. Can accomodate 33" tires.

Tuff Country 5" Lift (Link (http://www.tuffcountry.com/suspension-kit/toyota-tundra-1999-06-lift-kits.html)): 5" suspension lift that replaces the stock crossmember and can accomodate 35" tires.

RCD 6" Suspension Lift (Link (http://www.racecardynamics.com/products/suspensions/Toyota/tundra10-47404/tundra647404full.htm)): Same as the TC 5" lift pretty much, just 1 inch taller. Possible to tuck 37's with some slight modifications.

i just want to go up to a "leveling" type effect a couple of inches should be fine. i also do not want to lose ride quality.
