I was looking at purchasing this kit:

any thought or recommendations otherwise? I don't think my truck is prewired either. How difficult of an install would this be? I've done a lot of DIY stuff in the past.

I considered something along those lines myself but in the end decided to go with an aftermarket camera integrated into my Kenwood in-dash reciever. I am extremely happy with the results although it took some work to run the wires to avoid the rear window's travel. For what it's worth, there are wires plugged into the dummy plug where the factory backup camera goes so I would guess that they are all prewired from the factory. Should be a pretty easy install if so.
