This may seem like a dumb question but, I have a 2003 Tundra Access cab, 4wd with the TRD Offroad package. It has the stock stereo with the in dash 6 disc CD changer and cassette, it does have the door tweeters. I need to know if this is the JBL system or not? How can I tell, it doesn't say JBL anywhere on it, I couldn't find anything in the owner's manual that even mentions the JBL system, perhaps it wasn't even an option in '03?
Thanks in advance,
Rod

What I would do is take the VIN number, give it to one of the guys here who work for a Toyota dealership and ask them to run the number. It will tell you everything you want to know.

Is your tundra a Limited? Have door tweeters? I am under the impression that all Limiteds have JBL.

I haven't checked back here in a while I guess.
Anyway, it is NOT a limited and it DOES have door tweeters.
I also had a look and it has the external amplifier, separate from the head unit.
I am considering replacing the head unit with an aftermarket one that has bluetooth, Ipod, etc. I would like to still utilize the factory amp and speakers.
Check behind the back seat wall panel (that's where it is on a doublecab). If there's an amp, then you have the JBL system.
