Hi, I am new to the site and I recently purchased a 2012 Tundra 4x4. I replaced the stock speakers (2-6x9 front, 2-6 1/2 rear, and tweeters) with aftermarket speakers. Pretty simple changing them out. Once I completed the switch, my speakers worked for a short period and all of a sudden the tunes stopped. They came back on after turning the vehicle off but now won't come on at all. The head unit is the factory unit. Can anyone tell me the solution to this problem? Do I need to replace the head unit with an aftermarket one as well? Pretty frustrating hope I didn't damage anything. Thanks.

Try unplugging stereo in the back and plug back in. Do you have a factory amp?

I am pretty sure the stock amp sees the OEM front door 6x9's and the tweeters as one set of speakers. Depending on how you wired the new stuff in, you may be dropping the ohm's that the amp sees which may be putting the amp into some sort of protection mode. Unhooking the tweeters and trying might be an east way to troubleshoot if my theory is correct.
