I assume you mean you have an automatic since you mention it has a pan. The automatic is a 4 speed and a the 5 speed is a manual trans. I would simply drain and fill the automatic with OEM T-IV fluid on intervals of 30k miles as long as the fluid looks good on the stick and doesn't smell burnt. If it is still dark, I would change it more often until it looks clean.

You can get a filter and an AT pan gasket kit from your local autopart store or dealer. Its just an ATF strainer and won't catch much. By 100k, I like dropping AT pans just for inspection. If all looks well, clean the pan, its magnets, and continue with your drain/refill regimen. I usually replace the strainer at 100k because I've seen sealing o-rings degrade. Peace of mind on a decade ol' vehicle is for you to decide. And yes, its a 5 speed.

Thanx for the info, I was wondering if it was just a strainer screen like the older fords used, my oil is very clean yet but think I will drop pan and put in new strainer and gasket..
