Odd/dumb question perhaps: I'll be installing an Alpine 9885 CD player (old school, ha ha), 2 channel amp and separates up front. If I bypass the amp in the HU for the front stage but keep the wiring intact for the rear OEM speakers, could I expect decent sound or more of a "distraction" (If I'm solo in the truck, I'd just fade output to the front anyway)?

It's primarily for the kids who could care less about quality. Eventually, I'd put in a decent pair of coaxials back there. I'll have a sub as well.

Answered my own question--Ii forgot that I can turn off the internal amp of the Alpine, supposedly improving sound. Riding around with only the rear fill for the moment since I ran out of time to install my Arc...
