Has anyone pulled their instrument cluster and removed or unsoldered, or otherwise disconnected the annoying seatbelt chime? I know the chime can be turned off by the Stealer with his $15,000 software, but most dealers will not do this, including mine.

This post is only for persons who have physically/ electrically disconnected the chime...NOT Stealer software turn off. I don't want to get into a discussion about safety issues and dealership issues (like..."mine turned mine off for me"...this isn't helpful).

Anybody tried to do this yet?

Maybe someone can post a dashboard dissassembly diagram ?

Well as it turns out I didn't have to do anything except go to my local dealer and order a seatbelt extender. The 6 inch one works perfectly. Just plug it in and forget it. NO MORE CHIME !!!!!! And the next best part...the part is provided FREE by the dealer!
