I have the the 2011 platinum sequoia and I currently use an iPhone 4s. My phone pairs with the navigation system without any problem and I use it for audio daily. My issue is that the navi keeps losing my contacts that I import from the phone. For that matter it will start treating my iPhones music hardware and phone as separate entities. For instance I'll be listening to Bluetooth audio from the phone and if I want to make a call it shows that the phone is not connected and the connect phone button is selectable. If click connect phone it will tell me that another Bluetooth device is connected and give me the option to connect my phone instead. Then I can listen to audio. Only solution seems to be to delete my phone from the system and then add it back. Then I'll import my contacts and create some speed dial entries and all is good for about a month.

Anyone else have this crap going on or know the cause or prevention?

I've noticed some similar issues with my iPhone 3GS.

One tip I've learned is that if I need to restart my phone (power off/on), I also have to disable Bluetooth in the settings and then re-enable to get it to connect. I'm not sure if this helps or not, but it's a quirk I've had to deal with.

I think the Contacts sync is quirky in and of itself. I currently have 2 of every contact listed. That is definitely a buggy area of the software!
