Seats are in (not in the vehicle yet). I searched the entire forum (all 44 pages) just to confirm if any other Platinum owners have done the conversion but I think I'll wind up being the first.
Toyota Motor Indiana confirmed that the floors are the same.
Here's is a parts list that was forwarded on to me. I think I have emailed the 3 of you the PDF files to view for the seats to confirm if this is accurate/if there is anything else I should order. Let me know :tu:
90119-A0112 (x12) Bolts - you can reuse the 8 you have holding the captain's chairs in place so you just need four for the center seat.
72159-0C040 (x1) Cover Rear Seat Track Bracket Outer RH (I assume you'll want new ones since you're changing colors) Tell the parts guy what color you want, there are 3 options.
72159-0C060 (x2) Cover Rear Seat Track Bracket Outer
72159-0C050 (x1) Cover Rear Seat Track Bracket Outer LH
90467-A0007 Clip (x2)
72158-0C020 Cover, Seat Track Bracket, Inner LH
90467-A0011 Clip
72157-0C020 Cover, Seat Track Bracket, Inner
71694-0C010 Cover, RR Seat Cushion Hinge LWR, LH
71693-0C020 Cover, RR Seat Cushion Hinge LWR RH

I don't see why the outer bracket covers need to be changed. Unless you're just changing the color. If the footprint is the same I would expect the bracket to have the same shape for the outers as the captain chairs.

I actually found a shop near by willing to take on the job of helping me. The owner of the shop used to be the Toyota shop foreman so we're going to look over the diagrams, etc and figure out what exactly needs to be changed out to get the second row to match the SR5/Limited 2nd row. I want to do it 100%, i.e. if the SR5/Limited rails are covered, I want mine to be as well and not mickey mouse it. When I am done I will post pictures and a list of exactly what needs to be changed.

BTW I measured the width of the seats. The Platinum seats are wider by about 1.5-2 inches so it seems that my sources so far were correct and the entire 2nd row needs to be replaced.

Conversion is complete, 4 parts 'necessary' for conversion, i.e. they are covers to keep it looking OEM but without them the conversion is still 100% fine;
Two "RR Seat TR Cover" (2) 72159-OCO60-CO (CO=black)
Two "Seat Track Cover" 72158-0C010-CO and 72157-OCO10-CO
The 4 bolts that hold down the center console bracket (this bracket needs to be removed) to the floor are the same bolts that you would need for the additional seat. The other 8 can be used from the old seats. In addition the carpet needs to be trimmed a bit to allow the center seat rails to make contact with the floor. You need to replace the entire 2nd row, the Platinum captain chairs are wider than the SR5/Limited 2nd row seats.

Awesome work man! So they were "drop in" with the existing bolt patterns? Also is there any quick fold down feature of the center seat so you can use it as a console? Where's the photos?

Everything lined up perfectly, as I was told by TMMI, the floors are exactly the same. I'll try to take some pics and post it tomorrow. I'm very happy :D

What was the cost of this conversion?

A local limo conversion shop that quoted me $3,000 for the bench or $1800 for just the center seat. I guess demand still far outweighs supply around here.

What was the cost of this conversion?
$750 for the entire second row bench seat shipped
$150 install
There are 4 misc covers (to cover the rails front and back) that are more for aesthetic purposes than functional that might have run another $100

The center seat will not work with the Captain chairs in the Limited/Platinum. The bench seats are a bit narrower.

What are these 2nd row captain's chairs I keep seeing with the armrests on them? Are these in the limited? Or is this a "select market" thing?

From what I've seen there are a few configurations with the seats on the Sequoia's.
SR5 "standard" is 8 passenger, i.e. 3 seat 2nd row "bench"
SR5 "optional" is 7 passenger, i.e. 2 Captain Chair with arm rests (no center console)
Limited "standard" is 8 passenger, i.e. 3 seat 2nd row "bench"
Limited "optional" is 7 passenger, i.e. 2 Captain Chair with arm rests (no center console)
Platinum "standard" is 7 passenger, i.e. 2 Captain Chairs without armrest (center console is supposed to substitute for arm rests)
Platinum "custom" is 8 passenger, i.e. SR5 or Limited 3 seat 2nd row "bench" :D

Thanks for that. Do you think the Platinum captain's chairs are the same as the ones with the armrests? I wonder if it would be possible to find some hole on the side of the foam and attach the armrest. This way I could have a "pass-through" by keeping the center console out. I know oftentimes the leather is just cut in an "X" pattern and the armrest is put on. Anyone see one of these seats without the skin on it?

I'm 99% sure the seats are the same, I used to have a pdf file that I sent to some members that showed the parts you'd need to add.
This is who makes the seat, you could always try contacting them about it Toyota Boshoku Corporation (http://www.toyota-boshoku.com/global/index.html)
For those that search this thread in the future, Eagle Ottawa is who provides the leather.

The captains chairs are indeed wider (he sent me pictures showing the difference) but assured me the conversion would work as long as I was willing to chop the armrests off. I personally would not go that route and until I find a more reasonably priced 2nd row, won't be converting anything at all.

A)I would have them put it in writing with a 100% guarantee (full money back) because I see no way of it working, unless he's done the conversion how can he guarantee that?
