I just had the 6" lift installed, along w/ my new 325/60-20 Nitto TG's on 20x10 Rockstars (-24 offset).
The tire is rubbing right on the corner of the frame, both sides at turns less than full lockout. What's the best way to tackle this. Check out the pics of the tires on the truck...as is. I don't really think making them stick out further (with a spacer) is an option. Has anyone ever considered trimming the frame and have some flat steel welded in right on those corners?? Sounds iffy. I don't want more lift or more to have the tire stick out any further. Looking for advice.... Thanks..

Just installed the Hypertech InlineSpeedo. Super easy to install...super sweet piece of technology. To make it look nice, I actually cut out a spot on one of the blank "plugs" on the left side of the dashboard and mounted the USB cable in there (Male end sticks out, so I put on a clear cap that came w/ a flash drive, to cover it up).
Accessing it came in handy later when I test drove the truck. First attempt...I went from about 7-8 mph over what my GPS said, to about 2 mph under what the GPS said (from my initial programming of "non-stock tires" and original tire size of 285/75R18 to new size of 325/60R20).
So I bumped up the tire size in inches (34" instead of 325/60R20)...and it came out dead on. BTW...I used some sidewalk chalk to mark a line on my tire and the ground....then drove 1 rotation and marked it again. Measured the distance 106.75 inches, then divided that by Pi. Answer was 33.999".....must be smaller due to pressure down on the tire from truck weight....otherwise an online conversion calculator puts the tires at about 35.5".
I downloaded the CDROM onto a home PC then transfered the data to a little netbook I have w/ Windows 7...then took it w/ me on the test drive. Using a USB extender cable, I just connected the netbook and made a correction to the conversion.
Shifting pattern seems tight now also. Hope to find an improvement in MPG also.....we'll see I guess. Next might have to be a CAI. Hoping to get up to about 14-14.5 mpg. I get 11.8 right now. Anyhow, highly recommend the Hypertech product if you have Speed/Shifting errors after installing bigger/smaller tires.

Looks awesome! Could u take a couple pics from either left or right side of truck, straight on back & front? Just want to see how much the tire really sticks out from the flares at those views. Also, did u use a Dremel or sort to cut out a small slit and glue usb cable to the slot? Thnx again

Sorry for the late response bro. I didn't even realize anyone had responded to this.
I will grab a couple of shots and post them.
For the USB cable, it was pretty easy. I just popped that little plug out and lighly clamped it in my vice. Then drilled a couple of holes. I pretty much just used a file at that point and slowly worked at it until it was a nice rectangle (but made sure it was smaller than the USB housing around the plug itself. From that point on, it was trial, adjust, trial, adjust. I wanted to get it just large enough that I had to use some force to get it into the slot (enough force that it would hold when I plug on the extender cable). Didn't use any glue or anything. Holds really nice...very solid feel.

Here are a few recent shots....
Since my last posts, not a ton of mods, but did a few. Added a really short black antenna...gets nice reception still and looks good. Got it on Amazon. Also added the Smittybilt bullbar on the front and one of my favorite mods...the Bakflip F1 cover. You can see it pretty well in the back corner shot. Highly recommend this, if you are willing to drop the cash. I got it on Amazon also...close to $9 Benji's tho! Thing is awesome. You can fold it all the way up and utilize your entire bed (important for us 5 1/2 foot bed guys). And because each panel snaps down, if you lock the tailgate, it by default, locks your cover (can't get to the cable pull to release it). Fairly easy to put on and looks really nice.
Still have the rubbing issue on the front frame mount. I found a guy who builds race cars in Austin, Tx that will do the mod, I just haven't made the time to get up there and have him look at it....in the meantime, I just try to limit full deflection turns..especially going over bumps or turning into driveways from the street.
Still love this truck...so much in fact...that I re-config'd the garage and can now fit it in..super tight fit, but will def keep her safe during one of those freak Texan hail storms.
