I'm looking for a wire to tap to get a 12v ignition switched source of power for some relays. Anyone know the wire colors and location for a good spot for an 00-03? Under the dash or near the firewall pass through would be best.

Searching didn't come up with anything useful, other than a myriad of threads on worthless OEM fogs...

I tapped into the wire on the lower power outlet (under A/C & Heater controls) to power two relays I added to my truck. That U-shaped panel is easy to get loose and reconnect. I'm only using that power to operate the relays, NOT to power what the relays control, thus a very small current load for just the relay windings.

Under the hood or under the dash?

Under the hood I tapped into a (I think it was a blue) wire on the harness that plugs into the wiper motor.

Not sure about under the dash; never really looked for one.
