Just bought a set of used rock warrior wheels and tires. Is the bead lock trim ring decorative only? or does it need to be removed when installing new tires? Taking them monday to get new tires put on and want to remove them myself if they need to be taken off! thanks

They are decorative and NO they do not need to be removed when changing tires.

The instructions in the box say remove ring before r/r of tire. I just had a friend who didn't remove them and the tire shop bought him a new set because they put a nice scratch around the ring. But it is your choice. Just add a little lock tight when you reinstall your screws

Powder coat is so cheap that it's crazy not to pc them. Like dude said use some loc tite or they will back put and cause the bead locks to pop and make noises.If you plasti dip, you can remove it later if you want to sell them to trade them in for different wheels. That's why I stayed away from powder coat. Just my 2 cents.
