I bought 2" wheel spacers to use with my factory wheels. I have no idea how it will look, but I'm hopeful. Do you think it will look funny?

I finally put them on. See pics:

I will try to take some pics from farther away later this week. Overall, I'm pleased with the look and ride. I'm a bit nervous about them because I've never had them before. I did buy hub-centric wheel spacers to make it easier to install, but I have no idea if that is necessary.

Looks good,

A step up from the normal placement of those rims.

Have you noticed any difference in the drive at all?

I feel that the ride is slightly stiffer than before, but I'm not 100% certain--it is a small change at most.

I think it looks better. Should help the truck handle a bit better too.

I agree. I think the reason I feel that it is stiffer is that there is less roll. I'm very happy so far.

Looks sharp. Gives it a slightly more aggressive look.

Best $180 mod I've ever done.

You see this is what I wanted to do and everyone told me not to do it.

Here's the web address

I only use my '06 SR5 DC for daily driving to and from work, towing my 17ft bay boat a couple times a month down to the Keys, and that's about it.

I don't pull anything with mine. I just have it for my family, but mostly this is just a daily driver for my commute. I'm sure it harms the bearings, but who cares. I've had bearings go out on stock wheels too. Since they are not that difficult to remove, I may consider taking them off for long highway trips.

I, for one, am not going to live my life worried about every little thing that could go wrong. You can make yourself nuts over all the stuff that might happen if you take a chance. Make your own choices and live with the consequences. If you cannot afford the consequences, then don't take the chance. Be free from the tyranny of other worriers. That's my 2 cents; take it for what its worth.

I was thinking about doing the samething, but maybe going with 1.5" instead.
Where did you buy the hub-centric wheel spacers?

Thanks.

I bought hub-centric spacers from eBay.
