So I was backing the truck up and I ran into small dirt bank. It destroyed my trailer light plugin and I want to repair it. It currently works but I know as soon as winter comes it will turn into a rusty mess.
What would you suggest I do, I currently only use the 7 Plug.
The link below shows a replacement, but it says I may need an adapter for my truck. I was having issues separating the factory harness to see if I need that adapter. Anyone have any input? I can not be the first person to crush this thing.

Personally I like to 4x4 and replaced min 3 times. I've now moved mine to the left license plate light location. It takes a bit of cutting but is a very protected place.

I'll be curious about this too and hope someone can post up a link even if it is for the same OEM part/harness/plug.

I don't have the part number but I used one made by Reese. It was the water resistant version. The hole for the light is large enough but there is an inner bumper that needed to have a hole cut in it for the plug itself and the wiring

I really like how you put that up in the bumper like that. I will try to do the same, I will see if I can locate a replacement pigtail at a local autoparts store. I knew I couldnt be the only person that this has happened to. Thank you so much for your help, I will report back when I get a chance to put this all together.

Cletus,
I did exactly as you did and it was very easy, mine actually just snapped in there with a twist. I used the one from NAPA, that has the flat four on it as well. Thank you so much for your suggestion!
Here is the link to the one I picked up at the local napa for $37.15 including tax

So after further use I have found that I now have no rear brake lights, the light above the rear window comes on but not the rear ones. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. I am hoping that both of the rear bulbs burned at the same time but I am sure that is not the case.

So I replaced both bulbs for the tailing and stop and now everything works. I have not hooked up my trailer but I am hoping that everything is cool.

I'm glad I could help. One of the best small mods I've done
