So I knew I needed to change my left inner boot, as it was torn. Today I was doing a drain and fill on my tranny and greased my drive train. I noticed my boot is torn all the way around now. My question is what's the size of the bolt that holds on the hub, as I don't want to pay to get it done, or have to go get a socket after starting the job. And if anyone has any helpful hints that may help to, that would be sweet.

I'm guessing a 32mm. Pretty sure thats what I used on my Tacoma, and I think the front axle is the the same as the Tundie's. (except for the length of the CV shafts.)
Hopefully someone will chime in and verify the 32mm. I'll also look tomorrow and see if my socket is in the garage.

Thanks, that's what I'm hoping for that someone has done this, and has the socket in their tool box, and can verify the size.

Sorry I didnt post up yesterday...ended up getting one of my sons for the day. Now that I went thru my sockets, I'm pretty sure it's actually a 50mm nut. A 2" standard socket will work, thats what I have. Dont know why I was thinking it was the 32 or 36mm. (I also have a 43 & 45mm from when I had my FJ40's, and my memory is pretty bad.)
I'm currently replacing the steering rack on my 00 Tundie, and if the weather is decent tomorrw I will have to pull the front wheels. I'll pop the dust cover off and very the 2" fits the nut.

Cool, thanks. But I decided to get it done at my past job, "Big O Tire" tomorrow, as they do have a full mechanical staff. I only quit, on good terms a month ago, and my dad's the manager, so I'm hoping for a good deal. The only reason I'm not doing it myself is that with my new job I have no time, and I'm getting ready for a long trip this weekend, so I don't really have time. Thanks again though, and I still would like to know the size for future reference though.

If you are talking about the bolt on the front hub for a four wheel drive truck it is a 35 mm. I did mine last summer and it was no fun. We had to take a torch to the nut and damn near broke the breaker bar getting it loose.

Thanks, I actually got it done today. I had to take it in to my old work, as in going camping this weekend, and didn't fell like doing it, nor really have time.
