Anyone ever tried to swap your interior trim? Dash, center, door panels with another trucks color? I'm looking to go from grey to black and short of plasti dipping them I cant think of another way.

I also considered the grey to black. I too haven't decided as to which way would be the best to accomplish this. :(

I mean, I can live with the grey, but the black interior on these trucks just looks so good. I used to have an 04 DBL cab and it had the black interior, I loved it. At least I dont have that **** brown color interior.. that stuff is nasty.

Well I'm considering the swap because my driver side carpet has a hole in it. I'm going to swap it out with black....but my OCD wouldn't let me rest if I had grey and black interior. >_<

There are paints to use on your vinyl stuff(dash, door panels, console, etc), which work very well if you do the prep right. My buddy did this on his Toyota pick up a few years back, he was tweeked out(sorry to say) and got on a good one over a week. He tore every panel out, used degreaser to clean it all, then applied BulldogŪ adhesion promoter(works incredibly) as a prime coat. After that he used interior paint, I can't recall what brand but he got it from Kragen or Autozone. He changed his from tan to white and it's held up for at least three years now.

I've wanted to change my carpet to black, front seats too. I don't have this sissy OCD problem so I can live with it.

Just messin with you Nokz. :boink:

I have thought about painting my interior a charcoal color, or black, but as stated, haven't figured a way yet.

Probably use this

I wonder if the Krylon Plasticote would work?
