For those in the know....does my leaky front diff qualify as a warranty repair under the 5 year driveline warranty?? My truck is a 2000 LTD 4X4 and it looks as if it has been leaking for a while. The front diff has to be removed, split, and re siliconed....4 hours labour.

Mike...
Check your warranty book. My '03 has a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty on the drivetrain. That would be about 96K km so you may very well be covered if the Canadian warranty on your model year is the same as mine.

It the stealerships won't cover it, check to see if the leak is coming from the inner axles, it could just be a bad seal. If that's the case, that should be easy to fix.

If you're sure it just a seal, try some Auto-RX. They have a website and it worked pretty good on a rear main seal leak I had on my little Cavalier.
