I've been searching around but haven't found much in my area. My buddy got into an accident in that snowstorm last week. Someone slid and rear-ended him. I was wondering if anyone knew of some junk yards with Tundra's in the lot. I know its probably a rare find, but I'd thought I ask. Thanks guys!

That is a good question. I'm not sure what is out there, so I cannot help. But, unfortunately, I am sure there are some wrecked Tundras out there. It sure would beat dealer prices, depending on what you need.
Brings back memories when you would spend all day playing in the yards looking for a "door handle" or a replacement glovebox, etc....

A lot of the larger wrecking yards are able to access other yards thru the internet. They may be able to find you the parts you need----Buzz

Not sure if there are any Tundras, but in Walpole, MA on Route 1A there a few junk yards. I am not sure of the names though. I will let you know if I find out any more info.
Good luck,
Keith

Don't just rely on junkyards in the area either. There are a few toyota recyclers on the west coast that do nothing but tare down toyotas. Thats where I got the throttlebody I was experimenting with. Most of the engine parts come from very low mile motors (less than 1k miles). This can be better, in that the engine the parts came off of are fresher, rather than relying on a wreck parted out.

I am going to look around on monday and see what I find.

Hey Toasted...how do you like those 05 taillights? I ordered mine off of ebay last week....I am the happiest guy ever! They look so much better on my 02. So between those, clear corners, and sidesteps I feel like the rig just went through "pimp my ride!" :D Whats great about the east coast is that noone does much to their tundras so its easy to stand out. :tu:

I like them alot. Combined witht the roll pan, I'm starting to get some envious looks from "plain jane tundra" owners. Next week, all the parts of the IS grill will be done, however I think I'm going to keep that in the garage until the spring. I would like to try and find some sort of adapter (or maybe inserts from a non fog light truck) and put smaller, round fog lights wired directly to the oem harness so I can still use the oem fog light switch. I think that would lok fairly unique too.

Toasted,
Check out the Hella DE's. They only need a 2" opening and are excellent lights (check my pics) Best price besides occasionally on e-bay is from www.rallylights.com. If you need yellow you can replace the H3 bulb with a hella yellow star bulb from them for about $6.

I have some inserts I just took off when I installed my lights.
