I see in my new Performance catalog that they now offer Addco sway bars for the Tundra. I like the looks of these better then the Hellwig ones.
They were NOT shown as available in their on-line catalog as of yet.

Under the truck the looks aren't important. Consider that the Helwig bar is 3/8" thicker.

or you could get some nice coilovers, uca's, and ditch the swaybar ;)

I just bought and returned an Addco rear sway bar last week. The thing wasn't even close to fitting on my 2004 Tundra. I called Addco and talked to Dan who mentioned that I was the third person in as many weeks to have problems with that bar. He said they were intending to send someone out to examine a Tundra's in order to figure out what they can do.
The finish on the bar was a nice red powder coat. Originally they thought they were going to sell these bars to TRD but the deal fell through, so they are selling them to the general public. Normally they apply a gold Cadmium type plating, which I would prefer over the powder coat.
Anyways, the current Addco bar doesn't fit a 2004 Tundra 4X4 with ABS, LSD, TRD package. There were several problems. The first thing I ran into was that the top of the axle tube has several welded on brackets that interfere with the location of the bar. The next issue was that the end-links would have to be attached at what appeared to be an unsuitable area on the frame rails. The frame rails angle upwards where the holes needed to be drilled. I think this could be a serious problem because it looks like it would chew up the end-link bushings. The final thing I noticed was that the bar wan't even wide enough to reach from one frame rail to the other - it was about 2" or 3" short.

My understanding is the new Hellwig bar for the Tundra is now powder coated and has a much better finish than the old ones. I installed the Hellwig on my DC that I bought from a member that had it in the box in his garage for 3 years and had never installed it. Yes, the finish on the bar wasn't the best, but it fit no problem, had all the right pieces in the box, and it works great! If you want a sway bar, Hellwig is the right one IMO.

I too jsut sent back an ADDCo bar, I wanted it because of the finish. Mine was the Cadimum coating though. I was not impressed and was not about to drilll holes in the frame to mount it. :td:
So, I purchased a new Hellwig and installed it , like in the past with no problems. While the finish may be a 'little' better it was not anything I'd write home about. I had mine from my 2003 and the only reason I bought a new one was because I had heard the paint was so much better,,,, I should have just sanded and painted my old one.
I got a rusty one from my 2003 I'll be selling is anyone is interested.
