I likes! May I ask where you got it from and are they pretty standard across the board or should I be looking for a particular "mounting" type? Or maybe I can get them from practically anywhere. Any change in reception?

I knoow someone on here has a rubber antenna...maybe that's an option too.

I`m pretty sure that`s where I got the antenna they have some cool stuff

Yeah if you go off road you want something that`ll flex as I found out the hard way (thank goodness for easy outs) rubber`d be cool
there was no change in reception for me and everywhere I go it pulls in stations as good as any of the other trucks with stock antennas

I looked on the web for spring antenna bases and found a cool site but I forget where it was ,sorry, they had one that also folded down. But not being one to wait I went around town and finally found this one in a magnetic mount cb antenna kit for $10 at Wal Mart :D radio shack wanted almost $60 for an ugly huge spring

You can get adapters that go from import (our trucks) to american (the spring & antenna) when I ordered the antenna the guy said it doesn`t come with adapters so I ordered one for $2 guess what? It came with two adapters

While driving through Anaheim, CA I drove by Billet Superstore. Didnt have the time to go in but assume they would be a good start to look for billet accessories. Believe their site is www.billetsuperstore.com, hope this helps ;) .

Here is a few pics of the Stainless steel shorty antenna I installed on my 05 Tacoma. It seems to give a little bit stronger reception then the stock antenna did. It really gives the truck a sleek look compared to the stock antenna. It also has black O-Rings and I had to use another small O-Ring at the base of the antenna to fill the small gap it left. I paid $24.95 plus shipping from www.brandsport.com
