 Today was a nice day out so I had the windows down for and extended period of time the first time this year. When I was moving slowly in traffic in first gear I noticed that when I took my foot off the gas and slowed down there came a high pitched rapid chirping noise. When I pressed the gas again it went away. I then sped up and took it out of gear and coasted and no chirping noise. It seems to only occur in first and second gears when I release my foot off the gas.

Anyone got any ideas? Transmission problem?

Check all the usual junk is all I can suggest....U joints, yokes, d-shaft support bearings. Declerating in 1st & 2nd would put a noticable load on those items.

The driveshaft center support bearing was the first thing to come to my mind.
Excellent ideas.
Poss vac leak?
Brake squealer?
Backing plate scraping?
Belt chirping

What should I be looking for at the D-shaft center bearing? I just greased all points on the driveshaft put the sounds remains.

It is a sealed bearing, you can try to take it apart and get some grease in it.
I added some attachments.
Can you put the truck on jack stands, have someone duplicate the noise while your under it. That will better pinpoint the location.
