I was curious as to what everybody has in their hitch receiver when not
towing. I've been looking at alot of different kinds, team logos, steps, "remove
to tow -----", custom, etc.... Just wanted to see what everbody was
running? I've been looking to get something that stands out and looks good.

Pictures or links would be great.

Thanks, Chris

My truck came with a Toyota plastic insert. It's all I need.

I liked the insert that came with mine, but it was missing after spending a night at the dealers. Naturally, they denied responsibility for it. I guess the empty receiver looks ok, but I really would like one of those boat propellors there.

I purchased one from here.

If you get one, buy a lock also.

I just use the stock one that came with my Tundra. I figure if somebody steals it I'm not going to  about it.

My sentiments exactly. If they get too close, they can hitch on and you can rip there front bumper off.:D

I used to do the same, till I phucked up a touchless car wash:eek: . Broke the arm that moves around the truck. It hit the hitch, I left rather quickly:p :p .

I was thinking of getting a USMC emblem, but for now I'm sticking with the stock plastic one.

I went to Ebay and got this one. My truck came with a dealer plug and I wasn't going to give
them free advertisement. They didn't even give the option for the Toyota plastic plug.
Oh, well.

I leave a 4" drop ball mount to catch all those low riders trying to sneak under my bumper  .

I second that!

Except it did almost have a horrible drawback the other day. My father was backing up my truck and "forgot" that my brothers truck was right behind him. The street the trucks were parked on has a slight slope, enough to role easily backwards when in reverse by simply letting go of the brake.....a little bit. Well my father just took his foot off the brake completely and just let my truck (with the ball on the hitch) coast quickly backwards right towards my brothers ranger (yeah I know it's a ford but it has been a great truck with no serious problems...yet). My brother and I were stading in our driveway and simply yelled STOP as loud as we could. My father came but a few inches from by bro's front bumber. It could have been very bad ..........But at least my bumber would have been ok :clown:. I don't like other people driving my truck.....even if it is family.

I use this. It is a hitch step that flips down with the Toyota emblem added. I had an extra emblem laying around, so I bought a plain step and added it. Readily available on eBay. It's locked on with a hitch lock. Good thing to have if you want to keep your plug.

I am trying to find someone that will make a Hitch Cover with the University of North Texas battle flag (My Avatar over there to the left of my handle).

My dealer had to get my truck from Price Leblanc in Baton Rouge. Apparently Price Leblanc's slogan is "Hello Dahlin'". My truck came with a 3x6" oval hitch cover that said "Hello Dahlin'" on it. I said "I don't think so." and I put the Toyota one in there right away.

Ditto--AND I park in a 5 story Parking garage for work - so when I back into my spot-I hit the wall with my hitch, not my bumper

I just have the rubber Toyota plug. Anything sticking out is just that much more room that I'll lose in the garage in front of the truck.

Currently running around with the plastic plug. It's convientent in that I'm a vendor for the local Toyota Dealer, so when my platic plug comes up missing.... well, there's a whole parking lot of replacements.:D
