Ok i recently discovered this site and now im hooked.

I need to ask a question that hopefully someone here may know what it is. What is happening is ever since i had my tundra, it has made a wierd clicking noise underneath the floor of the driver side when going over bumps. When i either go into dips in the road or bumps or potholes, it seems that when the tires hit, this loud and obnoxious clicking sound can be heard and even felt thru the floorboard right below my feet. It seems to happen more often after the rear tires go into the bump or ditch. When i first noticed this i immediately went to the dealer and he was not able to reproduce it. I said what the hell and just lived with it for the past 4 years. So when the recall was announced i was like hey maybe that is what ive been hearing this whole time. So i setup an appointment to get the ball bearings replaced in the front suspension and got them replaced. The noise is still there though so that didnt fix it. Does anyone have any idea what this noise is? I mean i cant believe it could be that serious as its been 4 years and no problems but its still annoying. Of course now that its out of warranty if they ever do find out what it is ill have to pay for it

comes from the front driver side tire and sounds like a grinding click, almost like gears slipping? LSD, take your truck into the grass somewhere and gun it, you should hear a bunch of clicks untill you're stabilized.

Yup, looks like you got yourself a perfectly normal Tundra :D
I only know because I had the same issue when I got my Tundra

Yeah it doesn't sound like an LSD. LSD's don't click....lockers do.

Ya its strange. I mean when it clicks it only clicks below the drivers side floorboard, none of the other tires do this. It seems like it only happens when the suspension gets dropped on the front right tire like going int a ditch, or if the back tires hit a bump.

have you noticed if the noise goes away when the outside of the truck gets wet? try taking it through an automatic car wash and then see if the noise goes away for the rest of the day.
