Been browsing this forum for awhile, you all seem top notch so I thought I would ask finally..I know H20 man had a T, maybe you can help me out..
I am having quite a difficult time finding an easy and cheaper way to lift this thing suspension wise. I dont want a body lift.. Truck is a 96 3.4L x-cab shortbed, right now I am just running it stock..
Anyway thus far the procomp 4" kit seems really good and will work, but I would really like to not use blocks in the rear as I hear axle wrap can be very bad. As it can cause my entire rear axle to basically be torn apart along with a host of other gear as I understand it.
I havent ever lifted a truck before, but after reading tons of info I wanna do a procomp 4" lift and figure out something to lift the rear without using blocks. The truck is a daily driver so it has to at least behave on road as well, no rock crawling, just mild to moderate wheeling.
One other question, my shocks are worn and I was thinking of doing bilstiens, anyone use them on thier trucks? Good/bad?
Thanks so much in advance to anyone who can help! Cost is an issue so I would really like to keep the whole thing under 1500 bucks if we can.
Thanks again,
