Have an XB and I must have blown the fuse for the cigarette lighter or radio. No power on either the lighter or Radio. Which one of the fuse slots hold them both? I can replace the fuse but which one? :o :ts:

You don't say what year xB, but on an '06 it is the 15A ACC fuse behind the dash lower finish panel on the driver's side. Section 8 of your Owner's Manual has this information.

checked the fuse as mentioned and yes, it was the one that was blown out. Thank you very much. :tu:

I have a new Tacoma 08 and have been running my motorolla phone charger in one power outlet and my Ipod connector in the cig. outlet. It's been working fine for two months as well and just started blowing fuses instantly. It's even blowing the fuses when the phone and ipod are not plugged in and just the cords are. (Both cords I've used in rental cars while traveling with no problems)

I took it into Toyota and they wanted $100+ to look at it because they said it's not a warrenty issue. I agree with the above that upping the fuse to a 20amp is a bad idea, since the fuse is meant to stop damage from occuring to the wires.

I don't have another car to test the cords in, so is there another way to determine if this is a Tacoma issue or a charger issue?

I find it odd, that the computer system in the Tacoma wouldn't be able to determine the proper amperage coming through the outlets and adjust appropriately. Afterall, it's a 26k piece of equipment, which is a long way from my first Toyota pick-up that's still going with 200k+ miles....
